Goodwill Foundation: What's Happening?

January 2007 - Goodwill Foundation Director Anthony Liller selected as Young Professional of the Year.

Anthony Liller, the Director of the Goodwill Foundation, was named Young Professional of the Year by the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the Chamber’s 118th Annual Meeting held at the Carolina First Center on Thursday, January 25, 2007. The award recognizes a person between the ages of 22 and 39 for involvement in the community.

Anthony’s has been an Upstate resident for over three years and was brought to this area in 2003 on military orders. While stationed in Greenville as a Marine, Anthony directed the annual Toys for Tots Campaign for three years where he instituted new initiatives to raise awareness for Toys for Tots and the Marine Corps. Anthony also established and served as the Commanding Officer for the first Young Marines youth group in the Upstate. This national program is designed for children ages 8 to completion of high school and teaches children self respect, respect for others, love of the community, and a drug free lifestyle.

Anthony's passion for helping others continued after his retirement from the Marines in August of 2007. He is currently the Director of the Goodwill Foundation where he works with Upstate organizations to help people find suitable employment to become self-sufficient. Anthony is also involved in the Marine Corps League, the boys Home of the South, Junior Achievement, and the Harley Owners Group of Greenville. He resides in Greenville with his wife and 4 children.
